We are making this call to action to our feminist allies and all women from Latin America, the Caribbean, the USA and other countries around the world, to oppose the coup d'ètat that took place in Honduras last June 28th.

While our street action, strikes and boycotts in Honduras continue to sustain our opposition to the coup, we are asking for your solidarity and support to mobilize the pressure needed from multilateral institutions and from governments, especially the US government who we ask to stand firm against the coup and on the side of the rule of law.

*The proposed action is a rally outside the US Embassies of all of your countries, on Wednesday, July 22nd, at 10 am (local time), **and in the USA, in front of the White House, the UN and related sites, **to demand the following:** *

   * A clear condemnation by the US Government of the
     military-political coup against the State of Honduras, which was
     supported financially by Honduran business leaders and the extreme
     right from both Latin American and the USA, promoted by national
     media corporations, protected by the national Ombudsman of
     Honduras and blessed by the Evangelical and Catholic Church
     Hierarchy of the country;
   * The unconditional support for the return of constitutional order
     in Honduras, which implies the return of President Manuel Zelaya
     Rosales to Honduras;
   * The cessation of repression against organizations that are
     protesting the coup, which is being carried out by political and
     military forces that are supported by retired military officials
     responsible for the disappeared during the 80's in Honduras.
   * The cessation of all threats of war, promoted by the de facto
     regime, which are creating a climate of terror among the Honduran
     population;
   * The suspension of all technical or financial bilateral or
     multilateral aid being currently provided to the de facto regime;
   * The condemnation of the appointment of Ms. María Martha Díaz
     Velásquez, named by the de facto regime as Minister of the
     National Institute of Women (INAM), as well as Ms. María Antonieta
     Bustamante, representative of Honduras before the Inter-American
     Commission of Women, who were met by Feminists in Resistance; the
     riot police confronted us when we demanded that she vacate the
     building of the INAM, which is OUR INSTITUTE.

Also, we would like to inform everyone that a Feminist Transformation Watch/ Observatororio de Transgresion Feminista will take place in August in Honduras, with the participation of renowned regional observers who will document the human rights violations taking place in Honduras, particularly women's human rights violations, and to prepare a report. They will spotlight the perspectives and actions of women on the frontline through solidarity and media coverage.

We suggest the use of the following slogan: (we borrowed it from our compañeras of the World March of Women in their solidarity actions with us):

*WE ARE ALL HONDURAN WOMEN, WE ARE IN RESISTANCE.**NO TO VIOLENT GOVERNMENT OVERTHROWS, NO TO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN *as well as the slogan of Artists in Resistance: *NO TO THE COUP*
