> Vom 18. Juni bis zum 5. Juli 2009 zeigt Selbstuniversität e.V. in der Raumerweiterungshalle (Berlin) die Ausstellung ›Residenzpflicht - Invisible Borders‹ von Philipp Kuebart. Die Ausstellung dokumentiert die Grenzen, die für Flüchtlinge in Deutschland durch verschiedene Mechanismen der Einsperrung und Ausgrenzung produziert werden. (Genauere Beschreibung siehe unten)

> Im Rahmen der Ausstellungen sind bisher mehrere Veranstaltungen geplant:
> eine Informationsveranstaltung zum Thema Residenzpflicht
> eine Informationsveranstaltung zum Gutscheinsystem in Hennigsdorf
> eine Filmvorführung zu den Lebensbedingungen in deutschen Flüchtlingsheimen
>
> Mit unserem call for participation möchten wir euch dazu einladen, euch mit Performances, Vorträgen, Workshops, Filmen oder anderen Beiträgen, die sich im weiteren Sinne mit der Thematik auseinandersetzen, am Programm zu beteiligen. Bitte sendet eine Skizzierung eurer Ideen so bald wie möglich, spätestens jedoch bis zum 20. Mai (falls ihr eure Veranstaltung mit auf dem Poster haben wollt) bzw. bis zum 10. Juni an folgende Email-Adresse:

> Für Flüchtlinge im Asylverfahren oder mit Status der Duldung existieren in Deutschland an alltäglichen Orten unsichtbare Grenzen. Sie dürfen sich z.B. aufgrund der sogenannten "Residenzpflicht" nur innerhalb eines ihnen zugewiesenen Bereiches bewegen. Gleichzeitig werden sie verpflichtet, in Flüchtlingsheimen und -lagern oft am Rande oder außerhalb von Siedlungsgebieten zu wohnen.

> Gutscheinsysteme statt Bargeldleistungen, aber auch Personenkontrollen von als "fremd" wahrgenommenen Menschen an Bahnhöfen und in Zügen führen zur Markierung von Flüchtlingen und tragen zur gesellschaftlichen Isolation bei.

> Die Ausstellung ›Residenzpflicht - Invisible Borders‹ dokumentiert anhand von Modellen, Plänen, Texten, Fotografien und einem kurzen Film die dabei produzierte Geografie mehrfacher Einsperrung und Ausgrenzung, die durch sie verursachte Raumwahrnehmung aber auch Strategien des Widerstands.

> Form June 18th to July 5th 2009 Selbstuniversität e. V. shows the exhibition ›Residenzpflicht - Invisible Borders‹ by Philipp Kuebart in the Raumerweiterungshalle (Berlin). The exhibition documents the borders that are produced for refugees in Germany by varied mechanisms of confinement and exclusion. (More detailled description see below)

> Refugees, while they are either in the asylum process or live in Germany with a so-called 'Duldung', are facing invisible borders in their everyday life. For example they are only allowed to move within a certain area due to the 'Residenzpflicht' ('duty of residence'). At the same time they are forced to live in refugee homes or camps, that are often at the edge or outside of regular settlement areas.

> Voucher systems instead of cash benefits, but also police controls in train stations and trains targeting people who look 'foreign', stigmatise refugees and intensify their social isolation.
