[Stripburger]
Tell me more ... is the title of the first international comics
exhibition that will be held in Riga, Latvia from the
7th February till the 8th March 2009.
The exhibition, organized by the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art
and the Latvian comics magazine kus! will be on display in
Korpusu Cehs and Ednica (Andrejsala,Andrejostas iela 4, Riga)
and will bring together artists and artistic groups from all
over Europe: Atak, Anke Feuchtenberger, Moki (Germany),
Florent Rupert and Jerome Mulot (France), Nicolas Robel (Switzerland),
Matti Hagelberg, Katja Tukiainen, Tommi Musturi (Finland),
Kolbeinn Karlsson (Sweden), Lamelos (Netherlands), Anete Melece,
Maija Kurševa and Ingrida Picukane (Latvia) and Stripburger (Slovenia).
The focus of the exhibition will be on various unconventional
applications of comics art: instalations, wall paintings, video
projections, animations etc.
Stripburger, presented by Andrej Stular (multimedia artist) and
Gasper Rus (cartoonist and one of Stripburger´s editors) will
introduce Latviancomics lovers to Stripble, one of its latest
"inventions" - a multi purpose tabletop comics strip puzzle.
