Op 21 juni is Annie Sprinkle sinds lange tijd weer in
Amsterdam! Tijdens het Pinched: Sex, Love &
Countercultures festival luidt de oermoeder van het
sex positief feminisme de midzomernacht in met 'My
life as a feminist porn activist'. Ze neemt je mee
door haar roerige leven van prostituee/pornoster tot
activiste en performance kunstenaar. Aan de hand van
anekdotes, filmfragmenten en haar ervaringen schetst
ze een beeld van een tijdperk en een belangrijk
onderdeel van de feministische beweging in de jaren
tachtig. Hierna volgt de presentatie van Love Art Lab,
haar laatste project met haar partner, Elizabeth
Stephens.
In haar eigen woorden: 'The Love Art Laboratory grew
out of our response to the violence of war, the
anti-gay marriage movement, and our prevailing culture
of cynicism. We aim to help bring about positive
social change. We hope to inspire others to celebrate
and explore their creativity and sexuality in order to
activate their individual and collective agency in the
world.
Het Pinched festival gaat over tegenbewegingen op het
gebied van sexualiteit, liefde en alternatieve
pornografie. Overdag doen we dit aan de hand van
lezingen en paneldiscussies met o.a.: filmmaakster

Jurgen Bruning (Porn Film Festival Berlin), Murielle
Scherre (La fille d'O), Arie Boomsma en Cas Wouters.
Van 14 juni tot 21 juni kan je de tentoonstelling
Meneer de Wit Uncovered bezoeken in Meneer de Wit,
centrum voor kunst, cultuur en ontwikkeling.
We sluiten Pinched af met een spetterend midzomernacht
burlesquefeest met drag kings, candy girls, Mail &
Female sexperience, warmbloedige beats en
zinneprikkelende performances.
After being away for a long time Annie Sprinkle will
hit the town on June 21st. During Pinched: Sex, Love &
Countercultures festival the godmother of sex positive
feminism will take the audience into the midsummer
night with My life as a feminist porn activist. She
will be the guide through her eventful life, from
being a porn star and prostitute to becoming a
feminist activist and performance artist. With use of
anecdotes, film clips and her experiences she draws
the image of an era and an important part of the
feminist movement in the eighties. After her
presentation, her partner Elizabeth Stephens will join
her on stage to present their current project: Love
Art Lab. In her own words: ''The Love Art Laboratory

The Pinched festival deals with countermovements in
the area of love, sexuality and alternatives in
pornography. The day program consists of panel
programs with guests like Audacia Ray

(La Fille dO), Arie Boomsma, Cas Wouters (University
of Amsterdam) and Hanni Jagtman (Mail & Female).
From June 14 June 21 you can visit the exhibition
Meneer de Wit Uncovered at Meneer de Wit, centre for
art, culture and development.
We end Pinched with an exciting midsummer night
burlesque party with drag kings, candy girls, the Mail
& Female sexperience, hot blooded beats en sensuous
performances.
