Crack anno terzo.
Siamo orgogliosi di presentare la nuova kermesse di
CRACK! Fumetti
Dirompenti, festival internazionale di fumetti e arte
disegnata e stampata,
terza edizione.
INTERNATIONAL l'abbiamo chiamato, dopo WAR e VINAVYL,
perchè questa
rete che si raccorda ogni anno in CRACK! continua a
dilatarsi, continua
a costruire connessioni a coinvolgere intelligenze e
creatività ,
attraversando confini per raccordare una comunità
internazionale attorno
alla grafica disegnata e narrata.
Ancora una volta il festival che si terrà a Roma il
14-15-16-17 giugno
2007 sarà ospitato e prodotto dal Forte Prenestino
CSOA, l'antica
fortezza ottocentesca occupata 21 anni fa, e questa
volta vogliamo
allargare il più possibile la rete fra le produzioni
indipendenti che
percorrono il pianeta. Avremo ospiti internazionali
che presenteranno una
rete variegata di esperienze e di progetti: già
abbiamo evidenziato le
relazioni fra fumetto e grafica, fra comix e street
art, questa volta si
andrà ancora più lontano, cercando di costruire
progetti
internazionali di collaborazione per nuove produzioni
indipendenti.
Veniamo agli invitati, ospiti d'onore saranno: dalla
Svezia gli
editori e gli autori di GALAGO, la rivista che
racconta la scena che è oggi
la più interessante produzione europea e che produrrà
appositamente
per CRACK! un albo speciale in italiano di fumetti
targati Galago,
saranno a Roma Joakim Pirinen, Liv Strömquist, Hernik
Bromander, Fabian Göranson, Hanna Petersson e molti
altri autori del fumetto indipendente svedese; dalla
Francia
per festeggiare il decennale della rivista pop
controculturale TORAZINE
interverranno LE DERNIER CRI, il gruppo di estremisti
del tratto che
presenterà HOPITAL BRUT e le sue molteplici
produzioni grafiche e video
(LES RELIGIONS SAUVAGES, ultimo film prodotto dal
collettivo); dagli
States il collettivo antagonista WW3, rappresentato da
uno dei fondatori Mac McGill, ci presenterà World
War 3
Illustrated, comix storico della scena squatter
newyorkese ; dal Canada Nina Bunjevac esporrà i suoi
lavori e presenterà la
nuova rivista DTM che raccorda autori europei e
nordamericani; da
Berlino Gabba con il progetto Nostyle Fuckers offrirà
uno stage di
serigrafia nei laboratori Forte. Tutto questo non è
ancora tutto, come sempre
le porte di CRACK! restano aperte fino all'ultimo
minuto, per ospitare
qualunque produzione indipendente grafico-visuale che
intercetti i
linguaggi del fumetto. Le adesioni sono in corso e la
scena italiana sarà
complessa e vitale come sempre, tra l'altro possiamo
anticipare che
ospiteremo il primo fumetto quantistico della storia,
realizzato da Andy War, la presentazione del numero
europeo di Nero Magazine, la neonata collana Ernest
(virgola).

CRACK! â Comic Art Explosions
International Festival of drawn and printed art
Third edition, 14th-15th-16th-17th June 2007

Crack: year three.
We are proud to present the new appointment with
CRACK! International
Festival of drawn and printed art, now at its third
edition.
We named this year's event "INTERNATIONAL", because
since the past
editions "WAR" and "VINAVYL" the web spun by CRACK!
has been growing
and building new connections beyond borders, gathering
the talent and
creativity of many, forming a truly international
community of comic
artists.
Once again the festival, which will take place in Rome
from the 14th
to the17th June 2007 is hosted and supported by Forte
Prenestino CSOA,
the XIX Century Fortress occupied and self managed for
the last 21
years.
This year the emphasis will be on strengthening the
connections
between independent productions that work beneath the
surface of the
mainstream publishing world.
A number of international guests will present their
multifaceted
experiences and projects. In previous editions we
underlined the
relation between graphics, comics and street art, but
this time we
want to go further, laying the basis to build
world-wide
collaborations in the future.
Guests of Honour will be:
from Sweden the authors and editors of GALAGO, one of
the most
cutting edge publications in Europe. They will create
especially for
CRACK! an exclusive all-Italian edition of their
signature
comics.Taking part are Joakim Pirinen, Liv
Strömquist, Hernik Bromander, Hanna Petersson,
Fabian Göranson and many others.
>From France, celebrating 10 years of the
counterculture pop zine
TORAZINE, the collective of hard-line comic-strippers
LE DERNIER CRI
will present HOPITAL BRUT with its multiple graphic
and video
productions (LES RELIGIONS SAUVAGES their latest
piece).
from the United States the dissenting voices of WW3
will be represented by one of the founder: Mac MCGill
bring us
World War 3 Illustrated with original Ww3 artworks and
posters;
from Canada Nina Bunjevac will show her personal work
and will present
the new american/european publication DTM;
from Berlin Gabba, with the project Nostyle Fuckers,
will run a screen
printing workshop using the facilities at the Fort .
But this is not all: CRACK! entries will be open until
the last
minute, to welcome any independent activity that uses
the language of
visual and comic art.
The vital and complex Italian scene will be thoroughly
represented.
Look out for the first ever "quantum comic" by Andy
War, the
presentation of the European Issue of Nero Magazine
and the new-born
publication Ernest (virgola).

- ODIO IL CARCERE (I hate prison) â SCARCERANDA :
our usual feature
for the new issue of Scarceranda, a diary in aid of
prisoners. You can
contribute to next year publication by leaving
artworks with us or by
sending them directly to Radio Onda Rossa.
-SUPPORTO LEGALE (legal support) genova 2001,
donations of works to be
sold in situ during the event, to raise money for
legal fees incurred
by those arrested in Genova 2001
- RADIODD FASHION SHOW: choose your look for the
summer and let your
vanity catwalk! The come-In crowd for the gone-off
music. Choose an
outfit from your collection of useless adornments and
your favourite
hit from Radiodd: expose yourself to the sound of
bizarre and slightly
out of fashion tunes!
- The competition "L'etichetta piu' sghicia"
(labelicious!) for the
famous PRENESTINER the tasty beer produced by the
Fort! Design the
label for a special edition of 100 beer bottles to be
ceremoniously
opened by * master* birra** during the event! You can
take part from
now until the 4th of June: all entries will be shown
in the anti-pub
