EXIF data contains a thumbnail (9957 bytes).

Per chi non lo sapesse, da qualche anno a questa parte, tutte le
fotocamere digitali includono di default nelle immagini delle
"informazioni" chiamate Exif, queste informazioni resteranno
nella foto fino a quando in modo consapevole ("exiv2 rm dscn0243.jpg")
o inconsapevole (convertire il file in un formato non compatibile con
Exif) verranno cancellate.

Il problema di fondo e' che la maggior parte delle fotocamere non
permettono di disabilitare la registrazione di questi dati, che delle
volte potremo reputare "sensibili" o che semplicemente vorremo non
trasmettere insieme alla foto.

Tra i tag Exif piu' interessanti, per i dispositivi fotografici dotati
di GPS, (pochi, ma ce ne sono):                          

0x0000 GPS tag version
0x0003 East or West Longitude
0x0004 Longitude
0x0005 Altitude reference
0x0006 Altitude

Ma anche, semplicemente:

0x010f Manufacturer
0x0110 Model
0x0132 Date and Time
0x013b Artist

Che, per cazzi nostri e/o sana pranoia, delle volte preferiremo non
comunicare a chiunque.
