Lucca: Giovane donna violentata da un gruppo di uomini perché portasse quel
messaggio alla sua compagna, lesbica visibile e militante.
Lucca: Ragazzi a scuola spezzano le gambe ad una liceale colpevole di essere
lesbica.
Padova, Verona: Attivisti gay ripetutamente picchiati perché smettano di
portare avanti il loro lavoro di educazione alla civiltà.
Pestaggi, intimidazioni, stupri. Fino ad arrivare agli omicidi, quelli
'consumati nel torbido ambiente omosessuale' quelli delle transessuali nelle
strade, di cui la stampa si occupa in trafiletti minuscoli e nascosti nelle
pagine locali, come è accaduto recentemente a Bergamo dove una giovanissima
trans brasiliana è stata brutalmente assassinata nel silenzio mediatico
mentre tutti i tg ci informavano in tempo reale dell'assassinio di un
carabiniere. Anche da morti gli esseri umani sono ben lungi dall'essere
considerati uguali. Altro che "'A livella" di cui poetava Totò!
Odio. Supremazia. Repressione violenta. Tutte azioni legittime, di chi si
sente investito del compito di esercitare la giustizia. Contro di noi,
ancora considerati cittadini di serie C.
COSA FACCIAMO PER IMPEDIRE TUTTO QUESTO?
I nostri diritti più basilari sono violati continuamente. Come possiamo
parlare di passi avanti, di unioni civili, per esempio, quando abbiamo paura
ad uscire di casa tenendoci per mano come tutte le altre coppie? Ci vuol
altro che una legge per legittimarci. Oggi, che molte cose sono cambiate,
che il movimento è cresciuto, che ogni anno ci si ritrova per le strade a
festeggiare l'orgoglio della nostra "comunità varia", chiudiamo gli occhi
sugli orrori che ancora attentano alla nostra esistenza.
Il nostro movimento non è forte come in altri paesi europei. In Italia la
logica è sempre stata di lasciar vivere i disgraziati come noi finché
servono e usare la loro debolezza per distruggerli quando è più comodo. I
nostri predecessori: clandestini terrorizzati che respiravano di sollievo
quando la polizia li arrestava e li picchiava solamente, perché altrove, a
essere diversi, si rischiava la vita.
Siamo ancora noi, per primi, che pensiamo di non essere all'altezza di una
pari dignità con gli altri cittadini? Siamo noi che non abbiamo ancora
incamerato nel nostro inconscio il concetto che abbiamo il diritto di
esistere? Siamo ancora come i nostri nonni? Crediamo che se facciamo le cose
in silenzio e di nascosto, possiamo sperare di vivere ancora un po' la
nostra vita 'deviata'?
E che succede alla nostra mente quando ciò che maggiormente temiamo, quando
i nostri incubi diventano realtà? Censuriamo. Speriamo che non sia vero.
Arriviamo a dubitare che lo sia.
A Cinzia e alla sua ragazza Sara è accaduto proprio questo. L'incubo si è
avverato. Attorno a loro si è mossa impacciata una comunità troppo
terrorizzata e impotente, troppo frammentata e sparuta. Una nostra sorella è
stata toccata dall'odio. E noi non siamo riusciti a fare abbastanza. Abbiamo
permesso di creare una breccia di debolezza nella nostra comunità, nella
nostra identità. D'ora in poi, gli aggressori, i detentori della giustizia
della società dei 'normali', si sentiranno ancor più legittimati dal nostro
silenzio. E agiranno di nuovo, domani, un po' più forti.
Mentre mettiamo a punto questo comunicato, ci arriva la notizia di un altro
pestaggio a Lucca, la sera di ferragosto. La vittima è un ragazzo comunista,
gli aggressori si definiscono nazisti. Dopo averlo picchiato per 25 minuti,
procurandogli gravi danni al volto, se la prendono con un extracomunitario.
La solidarietà evidentemente non basta: dobbiamo difenderci, convincerci che
NON SIAMO CITTADINI DI SERIE C!
Il presente comunicato è un appello alla lotta.

Lucca: Young woman is raped by a group of men. They wanted her to bring
their repression message to her partner, a visibile lesbian activist.
Lucca: High school boys break the legs of a girl, whose only fault is being
lesbian.
Padova, Verona: Gay activists are beaten up in order to stop them from carry
on their educational work.
Beating up, threads, rapes. And then murders, committed 'in the turbid
homosexual circles', or at the expenses of transgender people in the
streets. No news on Tv. Newspapers speak about them just in short articles
hidden in the local pages. It recently happened in Bergamo, where a young
brazilian transwoman has been killed and no national news spoke about the
fact, while every national television news informed us about the murder of a
policeman. Human beings are far from being considered equal even when they
die!
Hate. Supremacy. Violent repression. These are all legitimate actions
performed by those who feel themselves invested with the task of wielding
justice.
WHAT ARE WE DOING TO STOP THEM?
Our basic rights are violated over and over again. How can we possibily talk
about our victories, about civil rights, for example, when we are scared of
simply walking in the street hand in hand with our partner, like all the
other couples do? It takes more than a law to legittimate us.
Today, many things have changed; our movemend has grown up; every year we
gather in streets and squares to celebrate our Pride. And yet we close our
eyes before the horrors, which still endanger our lives.
Our movement is not as strong as in other European countries. Italy's logic
has always meant to let the wretched like us live until they are useful, and
then use their weakness as a weapon to destroy them when it's more
convenient. Our ancestors were scared clandestines breathing from relief
when the policemen arrested them and just beat them, because elsewhere
people who were different risked their lives.
Maybe we are the first who believe we are not as worthy as the other
citizens. Maybe we still doubt about the rightness of our existence. Maybe
we are still like our grandparents. Do we believe that, if we do things
secretly and silently, we could hope to live our "degenerate" lives a little
longer?
And what happens to our minds, when our nightmares, what we mostly fear,
become real? We censor, repress. We pray it isn't true. We even doubt it is.
It just happened to Cinzia and her fiancée Sara. Their nightmare has become
true. A clumsy community moved around them, but it was too scared and
powerless, too fragmented and scanty. One of our sisters has been touched by
hate. And we haven't been able to react properly. We let them make a breach
of weakness into our community, into our identity. From now on, the
agressors, the holder of straight society's justice, will feel themselves
even more legittimate by our silence. And tomorrow they will act again, a
little stronger.
While we're writing, we learn about another beating up in Lucca, on August
15th. The victim is a communist boy, the agressors called themselves nazi.
After beating him up for 25 minutes causing him serious damage to his face,
they took it out with an immigrant man. Nobody intervened.
Solidarity isn't enough: we need to defend ourselves, we need to convince
ourselves that
WE'RE NOT 3rd CLASS CITIZENS!
