Hi Kurtis,
Hey I'm having no problems with the shift keys on my T410. Check "Region & Language" in Settings and make sure your the appropriate layout is at the top of the list. You can click the eyebal icon at the right of it to see the keyboard layout. Mine is R/L "English (US)" and the layout graphic shows two shift keys in the correct position.
