Well, got to it much sooner than expected. I sent a whisperback report from 3.8 and put your name in the summary, so it should be relatively easy to locate. Since I can't get into gdm to set a password, in not quite sure how to go from there... And in my googling I didn't see a default anywhere, so I leave it in your capable hands for now. Oh and not related, but "troubleshooting" mode appears broken here. Just sits for about 2 minutes then says it failed to find a valid init (something like that, can provide more specific details of you'd like) .
